My 100th Blog Post and 2013 Round Up

Hello Everybody,
I cannot believe that this is my 100th blog post, it absolutely blows my mind that I have written that many posts since I started my blog on the 12th May. I am so blown away by how much my little blog has grown in the last month and I am hoping that next year that my blog will continue to grow and it will be even better than it was this year. Of course 2013 has had it's ups and downs, but as I was putting a collage together for this blog post I have realised that this year has also been absolutely amazing.
I've made new friends, be them people I have met in person and people that I have met over this blog. I have done things that I have never tried before, from blogging to riding the Smiler at Alton Towers. I have had no regrets, and have had probably one of the best years of my life. Of course, I have managed to look past the negatives of the year, because why bother remembering the bad things in life, when so many great things have happened.
I have put together a little collage to showcase just a few highlights of my year, from bowling and shopping with my friends, a couple of trips to London, holidays in Lancashire, Scotland and the Netherlands, to a couple of my favourite blog posts. I am so excited for what my blog has to offer in 2014, from the #2014bloggerchallenge, to my new Wisdom Wednesday posts. Of course, if anyone does have any requests please comment below or email me, and lets get excited for my next celebration which will be my first Blogiversary, which I already have plans for.
I also want to add a huge thank you to anyone that has continued to support me with my blog, and anyone that has helped me get my little blog to where it is right now. Thank you.

What I got for Christmas 2013!!

Hello Everybody,
I will be completely honest with you and say I wasn't actually going to do this post, because I didn't want to come across as bragging, which by the way I am not. After speaking to a few other bloggers on twitter they all said they enjoyed reading them and had only heard good feedback from them. Personally, I love reading these posts so that gave me the drive to write my 'What I got for Christmas' post. If by any chance you do not enjoy these posts, then please do not feel obliged to read this and click the exit button now, because I do not want to upset anyone.
After that little disclaimer I feel ready to write this post now...
I decided not to do a picture heavy post today because no doubt it will mess up my bedroom even more then it already is, but I will be doing plenty of reviews in the new year, so don't worry about that. Although, if you do have any requests please do not hesitate to comment below.
Firstly, I got the Katy Perry Killer Queen gift set which I have been lusting over ever since there was a sample in one of this years Glamour Magazines, which by the way is the best magazine EVER!! The set includes 30ml of the perfume, some body lotion and shower gel.
I received Now 86, which I was super excited about because it has some great music on it. I also got a Baylis & Harding radiant skin spa kit which is quite exciting considering I did not have anything from that brand previously. Not only that but I got the Soap & Glory Bubble Barrel which includes so many mini Soap & Glory stuff and even a towel headband thing.
I also received a cupcake calender, which as much as this sounds weird, I was really excited about because this year I didn't have a calender and was lost without it. I love being organised, and although I put loads of dates on my phone I do like to have written versions of my life plans also. I also got an Accessorize nail polish collection to add to my huge nail varnish collection.
I also received three Yankee candles, which I was over the moon with because I am candle obsessed, like most beauty bloggers. I got the Strawberry buttercream small jar, which was super exciting because that is my all time favourite Yankee candle scent. I also got the Salted Caramel one, which my family thinks is too sweet but I adore it, and I also got the French Lavender one which is certainly perfect for evenings when I am struggling to sleep.
I then got a Nivea luscious lip set which is awesome because it includes my all time favourite lip butters. From Secret Santa *cough*Emily*cough* I received Mandara Spa soap petals and a mini luxury set *oh and of course some chocolate*. I then got a purple organiser which I plan to use for my blogging. Of course, I got loads of chocolate and sweets too.
I got a romance movie which I have never heard of before but I am so excited to watch it because it is starring Zac Efron *oh yeh*. I received a wind up Christmas tree thing which is so adorable, and looks so much like an antique.
I also got a Rose Gold watch from New Look which is absolutely beautiful and much more stylish then my previous watch. I also got an apron, because of course I love to do a bit of baking.
Finally, I received lots of money and a Topshop voucher, which I am going to try and make last, although that may be a bit of a challenge.
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoy reading others. If you have done a similar blog post or Youtube video please stick your links below because I do love reading them.

A Christmassy Day in London

Hello Everybody,
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, or a happy holiday if you do not celebrate Christmas. I had a lovely day. and I am enjoying round two of it today. I had such a wonderful couple of days filled with laughs and happiness with my family.
Today though, I thought I would share with you my day in London on Monday. I know I've done a lot of lifestyle posts lately, but it is quite nice talking about life with you guys, especially this time of the year. Clearly though, after just having my Birthday and Christmas I have plenty of reviews to make, which is all quite exciting. So don't worry some beauty posts are on their way.
Anyway, on Monday my brother, mum, dad and I went to London , originally to go to Winter Wonderland and the theatre to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Unfortunately, as usual in England the weather was atrocious and Storm Emily *believe it or not* tried to ruin our day. For this reason Winter Wonderland closed for the day which I was SOOO annoyed about, and we ended up going to the British Museum instead. I'm no historian so museums aren't really my scene, but at least it was out of the wind and the rain.
Afterwards, we went to Covent Garden, but by this point it was getting late and almost dinner time. For this reason we went to a cupcake shop and I had a black forest gateau cupcake, which was absolutely amazing. Then we went for a meal at Wagamama's and I had a Beef Teriyaki Soba Noodles which I managed to tackle with just chopsticks.
Luckily, we did get to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory though, which was absolutely awesome. I really recommend you go to see it, because the actors are so talented, especially the Charlie, Augustus, Mike, Verruca and Violet, who were absolutely phenomenal.
Overall, I had an amazing day with my family, and although the weather was absolutely awful, we didn't let it ruin our day.

Christmas Eve: Pamper Day!!

Hello Everybody,
It's Christmas Eve, and for my family Christmas Eve is always pretty quiet, with not a lot to do. For this reason I have decided to have a pamper day. I am so excited for tomorrow, and after yesterdays day in London, I thought I should have a relaxing day today.
After considering having a Lush bath also today, I decided against it, purely because I don't want to use my last Bubble Bar just yet. Anyway, I'm going to give you an in order run down of my pamper day, which if I am honest I haven't officially started yet. In fact, usually my pamper days are more of an evening thing, but either way, it is probably the only thing I'm going to do today.
  1. The first thing I will do is have a shower and hair wash before I start with anything else. I haven't included what I use on my hair in the image, but here is an older post so you can find out what I use if you want to know.
  2. The next thing I will do is spray myself all over *except for the face because that will be bad, very bad* with my Spray & Go moisturiser, followed by using my Passion fruit body butter from the Bodyshop on my hands and legs.
  3. Next it is time to put my onesie on.
  4. I will then head back to the bathroom, to wash my face with my Clearasil Skin Perfecting wash, to remove any dirt from my face, although it should already be clean considering I've had a shower, but it's a pamper day, so why not?
  5. After that I will put my Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask on to stop my face breaking out on Christmas day. As much as it may be festive I really do not want a Rudolph spot to make an appearance on my nose overnight, just so it can be the star on the families Christmas dinner.
  6. Once the mask has been sitting on my face for a good ten minutes I will wash it off and then moisturise with my Nivea day time moisturiser.
  7. Finally I will moisturise my hands with the Bodyshop hand cream because my hands get so dry and sore in the cold months. Also, I leave this until last so I do not wash it all off.
Once I have completed with my pamper session I will probably watch some television, which will definitely entail watching the Holby City Christmas special. Seriously, I have been watching Holby City for probably 3 or 4 years non stop and don't plan on missing an episode any time soon.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow, or if you do not celebrate Christmas you enjoy your holiday. Also, I would be interested to know what you get up to on Christmas Eve, so do not hesitate to comment below.

My week on Instagram #1

Hello Everybody,
Today I didn't really want to do a review, in fact I wasn't really sure about what to post on my blog today until now. Suddenly, the thought of posting about my week popped into my head. Then I thought I could talk to you about how obsessed I am with Instagram at the moment. Since getting my new phone I have been on Instagram so much, I love how it's a way of documenting parts of your life you want to share, so this gave me the idea of showing you my week (and a few days) on Instagram.
Firstly, a couple of weeks ago I decorated the Christmas tree. Me being me I always try and take some sort of photographic picture of it. I'm not sure why this is, but this 'wish' bauble always makes me smile, it is the only bauble like it on our tree, which makes it stand. Also, I love the disco ball bauble.
If you remember me saying last week, I had a really busy time with some mock exams, and I was taking procrastination from revision a bit too far, taking a picture of my revision guides, such fun!
In our front window my family and I have this cute miniature village. All of the houses are battery powered so that once turned on they have little lights showing through the windows. I think our village is absolutely adorable, do you?
Again, I took another festive Christmas picture, purely because revision was making me feel quite "Bah Humbug" which is fairly unusual for me around this time, so I thought that if I took a 'Christmassy' picture I would feel a bit more festive.
Next, I got a slightly belated Birthday gift from Kelly and Emily because it got lost in the Christmas mail . I was so pleased with this MAC eye shadow palette because I have never owned anything from MAC before, and it was definitely worth the wait. Thank you girlies!!
On Thursday I was celebrating the end of my exams with a spot of blog catching up. I am absolutely obsessed with bloglovin' because it means I can read all of my favourite blogs in one place. Do you follow me yet?
Yesterday my school had Christmas jumper day a week late. Of course I had to take a selfie of me rocking that festive jumper, I love my Christmas jumper so much.
In the last fifteen minutes left of school me and my bestfriend Katie got a little bit hyper, you can't blame us, it is the holidays.
Oh yeh, I can't forget this rather amusing picture of my friends taking a selfie. They're such posers. No, in all seriousness I love this picture because it's so natural and makes me want to giggle.
I hope you enjoyed this little post and I might do a few more of these in the future, or even post some exclusive pictures that never made it on to Instagram. But in the meantime, if you want to see more pictures like this then do not hesitate to follow me here, for more fun, randomness and selfies.

The Christmas Cracker Tag

Hello Everybody,
After what has been one of the most dreadful weeks in the history of my life, I am so glad to sit back and think "IT'S CHRISTMAS!!". Well, almost anyway, just one more day of school and then I can finally have a break from the abhorrent classroom. In fact I'm still struggling to fathom with the idea that after tomorrow the next time I will go to school it will be 2014. Nuts isn't it?
I have been tagged by the lovely Orla to do The Christmas Cracker tag and I think it is such an awesome idea. To be honest, I am loving all of these festive tag posts at the moment and I hope everyone else is enjoying reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
Don't forget to use this wonderful picture :)
1. What's on your Christmas list?
I cannot actually remember without checking... *goes to check her documents*. Basically, I tend to make a list for Birthday and Christmas because my birthday as you probably know by now is only a few weeks before Christmas. Firstly, I have asked for some Real Techniques makeup brushes because, believe it or not, I do not own any makeup brushes. Secondly, I have asked for some Yankee Candles, because I am a Yankee Candle obsessive. I have also asked for a Next Rose Gold watch. Trust me, I would love a Michael Kors watch but it is a little bit hard to comprehend £200 for a watch. Finally, I would quite like the Now 86 CD and the Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume. Obviously, I do not expect anything from anybody at Christmas, because it is supposed to be the season of spreading joy. But often within my family we all just exchange money and treat ourselves to what ever tickles our fancy.
2. What's on your Christmas Day agenda?
The usual, open presents in the morning, because my family are too excited to wait until after dinner. Then go to my cousins for Christmas dinner and a general laugh, with most probably a competitive game of charades.
3. How much Christmas shopping have you done?
By now if I hadn't done it all I would be losing the plot. Consequently, of course I have bought everyone's Christmas goodies. I can't wait for everyone to see what they have received. Also, I have my Secret Santa party tomorrow which should be good fun.
4. What's been your biggest ever surprise gift?
My family don't really do surprises, but once I did get tickets to see the X Factor Live Tour which was very surprising and exciting, considering I had never asked to see it.
5. When do you normally put up your Christmas tree?
My family normally wait until just after my brother and I's Birthday *have I ever mentioned I have a twin brother before?*. So generally our tree will be up by the 9th or 10th of December, maybe a bit later at a push.
6. Do you have a special outfit planned for Christmas Day?
For Christmas Day I will be wearing my tartan skater dress, probably with some black tights and my black ankle boot heels.
7. Do you have any special plans for Boxing Day?
On Boxing Day my family have my Nana coming over for a four bird roast. I don't mind if I do!
8. When did you stop believing in Father Christmas?
Firstly, if you still believe in Father Christmas and are reading this stop reading it NOW! Anyway, I was told by my parents that Santa wasn't real when I was about nine. The thing was that my brother and I were really big believers, because my brother "saw him". I don't think we'll ever get to the bottom of whether my brother was simply dreaming, or it was my Dad in a Santa suit, but either way, my Dad told us when we were nine to save us from any more embarrassment.
9. What's your favourite Christmas scent? (candle/perfume)
As mentioned in a previous question I am Yankee candle obsessed, so this is an easy question for me. I adore the Christmas Cupcake Yankee Candle, simply because it smells of a yummy Yule log, which is so super duper festive.
10. What do you love about Christmas?
Well, be it a cliché or not, I love the idea of forgiveness and sharing over Christmas. Everybody seems to get along no matter what, and it is great to see families and friends enjoying every moment of being with one another. And of course, looking at peoples smiles when they open their gifts, it is such a thrilling feeling.
I hope you loved this cheeky little tag, and yet again I am going to thank Orla for tagging me in this because it has really got me into the Christmas Spirit. Also, I tag Sarah to do this, and of course everybody else that is reading it and fancies getting involved. Enjoy your Friday, and as always I will speak to you on Saturday.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer review

Hello Everybody,
It's so nice to have a break from my revision to have a chat with you guys. I'm so excited for Thursday afternoon when I get home from school in the know that I have finished all of my mock exams. Anyway, I'm going to be one hundred percent and say that I have fallen for the hype, and I have no idea why I waited so long to get this product.
Firstly, after hitting pan on my Benefit Boi-ing a few months ago I have been meaning to buy a cheaper alternative concealer, because I wanted to save the posh stuff for posh occasions. After reading multiple reviews on Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer, and realising it was a cult beauty product it went straight to the top of my wishlist.
I am so impressed with this concealer as well. The coverage is amazing and it also doubles up as an amazing highlighter under the eyes. I got mine in the colour 1 Fair, which is the lightest shade because I am super duper pale and would look stupid with a shade any darker.
Not only that, the stay power on this concealer is incredible. Obviously, for £4.19 I was blown away by the quality of the product, and it really does last pretty much all day. Overall, I am so pleased with the fact that I bought this concealer, especially for this week. All of my horrible blemishes and dark circles have been hidden very well during a stressful week of exams and revision.
I highly recommend this for anybody that doesn't have it already, and of course it is a great little stocking filler for any beauty lover if you're stuck on what to get them.

Lush Review // Bombardino bath ballistic

Hello Everybody,
Today I am doing yet another Lush review because I am Lush crazy at the moment. Until next week I will admit that my posts will probably be very very rubbish, but unfortunately my diary is full to the brim with exams, and until then and my mind is in "Freak Out" mode. Consequently, I think I might be scheduling my posts for the next week rather then putting the extra stress upon myself.
With all that craziness in mind today after a rather rubbish game of hockey I decided I was in need of a nice bath. A couple of weeks back I went shopping and bought a few Lush bits but chose not to do a haul because I also had a few Christmas presents thrown into the mix also. But, of course I still got myself a few treats.
I've seen a lot of people talking about the Lush Bombardino for a while now. I'm not sure whether it is a new release or not, but it is definitely a popular choice at the moment. Personally I think the Bombardino looks like a cute little face with a towel or whipped cream on it's head, I don't know about you?
The Bombardino smells of what I think is a mixture of vanilla and caramel, or even a caramel frappé, but I'm not overly sure. Either way I definitely like the smell of this bath ballistic and  the smell was certainly the reason I bought it.
Unfortunately, once in the water the Bombardino was less impressive. Firstly, it turned a gross yellow colour, which can only remind me of one thing, but secondly it didn't fizz up as spectacularly as my last bath ballistic.
Although, the bath still did smell good and once I got out my skin felt really nice, which I suppose is a bonus. Another issue I had with the Bombardino though, was the fact that it left a little bit of a stain around the bath. The luxury lush pud didn't do this, so it surprised me a little. Of course that wasn't the end of the world because it did sponge off.
I hope you enjoyed yet another one of my lush reviews.

The Christmas Tag!!

Hello Everybody,
I've seen this little tag post floating around the inter-web for a little while now and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them. As I am super busy revising and doing exams at the minute *and wholly stressing out* I thought I needed to do a post that would get me back into the Christmas spirit. Honestly, this week has seriously taken it out of me. Since having such a fabulous birthday week last week, this week has been complete and utter poop. But, as I have my first exams tomorrow I want to cheer myself up as I know that I will achieve much better if I walk into my exam room with much more positive mindset *PMA, positive mental attitude, as my friends and I call it*.
If you use this image please credit it me (emilybelleblogs) in the caption, thanks xx
1. What is your favourite Christmas song?
This is quite a hard question for me considering I love all Christmas songs. I mean you can't beat a bit of Bing and Frank. But, I think my favourite song is Santa Clause Is Coming To Town. I think this is my favourite because of the film Elf, because when the whole of Times Square starts singing it, it makes me feel very festive. But I also love Stop The Calvary and Little Drummer Boy, because you don't need to remember many lyrics to sing them.
2. What is your favourite festive drink?
I actually have no idea. I really love salted caramel hot chocolates from Starbucks, but I'm not sure they're my favourite. I suppose just a normal hot chocolate will do me just fine, but then again I'm not fussy. Although, I have to admit my obsession with Skittle milkshakes has returned with a vengeance, which doesn't make much sense because it is a cold beverage *but, oh well*.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas film?
This is probably already a bit obvious, but I absolutely love Elf. In fact I can as far as saying that I have tried going up an escalator the Elf way just because it looked funny. Also, it is such a happy film and has a great choice of Christmas music. Although, candy on spag bol does make me feel a bit queasy.
4. What is on top of your Christmas wish list this year?
To be honest, I'm pretty happy with everything I have at the moment. I already received a new phone as a joint Birthday and Christmas present, but I suppose what I really want is a memorable Christmas really. I have so many great things planned for this Christmas and I just hope it is as perfect as I've planned for it to be. Also, this year has been a bit of a roller-coaster but I hope that next year is a little bit smoother. Obviously I'm going to have my exams and things that will make it a little bit tricky, but I think 2014 is going to be a good year for me.
5. What is your favourite festive makeup or nail art look?
I don't really do nail art, but my favourite makeup look for this season has got to be dark red lips which winged eyeliner and smokey eyes. Of course, a little bit of pink blush has to be included too, to give you the perfect winter flush.
6. What is your favourite outfit at Christmas time?
Well, at home I love wearing my new pink and white Christmas fairisle patterned onesie, because it is so warm and cosy. For casual wear, I love my Christmas Jumper, I will do a post on this at a later date but I can promise you it is a very discrete Christmas jumper. But, for evening wear I am loving my tartan skater dress, because it is so cute, and very on trend.
7. Would you rather play out in the snow or enjoy it inside with the fire and a cuppa?
Hmm... Well, I don't really like the could, so the latter sounds more appropriate for me, except I don't like tea and don't have a fire. But I enjoy having friends over and playing games or something. I know this sounds very childish for a sixteen year old, but sometimes a game of Twister or Charades is much more entertaining than playing candy crush on Facebook.
8. Wrapping present- Love or Loathe?
To be honest, it depends what it in the present. If I have spent ages on the gift and am really proud of it I love wrapping it up and making it look spectacular. But if it is something that I am unsure whether the recipient will like it or not I tend to loathe wrapping it. Who else uses their feet to hold the fold over whilst cutting the sticky tape?
9. What is your Favourite Christmas food?
Um Duh! Christmas pudding! Christmas pudding is generally something I look forward to all year, I don't really know why. With a nice bit of Christmas pudding and double cream my Christmas is complete.
10. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
This is going to sound so cliché, but being with friends and family, and that feeling of forgiveness. Christmas is like the start of something fresh, all arguments and mistakes are pushed aside and forgotten about. Everybody learns to love again, which makes me feel so happy. Also, seeing smiles on the faces of those that are close to you means so much.
I hope you enjoyed this festive little tag. Again, feel free to tag yourself because I am to lazy to tag other people.

A friendship to cherish

Hello Everybody,
I wouldn't normally do these type of posts, because they can become quite cheesy and cliché reasonably quickly. But, as you may well know it was my sixteenth birthday on Sunday, and one particular gift that I received made me realise how perfect my friendship with my best mate Katie is.
Katie and I have been best mates for eleven years now, which if you ask me isn't bad going considering I'm only just sixteen and Katie is fifteen. Back to the point, for my birthday present Katie got me a memory book, with lots of pictures of when we were younger and quotations of what was happening in each image to jog my memory. I thought this was absolutely adorable and have flicked through it multiple times already. Another thing that really touched me was a message that she left at the back of the book.
The wording was faultless and beautiful, explaining how she hopes to be my best friend for as long as possible, and although we may not be studying together next year she hopes that we can still stay as close as we are now. What really touched me is that she said how I had helped her through hard times and made her happy when she was feeling sad. Knowing that you can influence someone's mood in such a positive way is one of the best feelings ever.
One thing I wanted to leave you with is a quote that I sent Katie when she was feeling sad, and she has now returned it in this book which will stick with me for eternity, "Everything changes, and nothing stays the same. But as we grow up one thing does remain, I was with you before and will be with you till the very end, nothing could replace my best friend."
Katie, if you are reading this I want you to know that you are very special to me, and I could never find anyone else quite like you. This gift is the most thoughtful and touching thing that I have ever received, and I thank you for that. But most of all, I thank you for being my best friend, sticking with me when the going got tough and persevering with me on my "ranty" days. Thank you.

My 16th Birthday Party

Hello Everybody,
It's my Birthday tomorrow and I had a party last night, and I really wanted to share with you about my evening. It was the most amazing night, and I truly have some of the greatest friends. I asked them if I could feature them in some of the pictures and they agreed, so let me introduce you to... Katie, Louisa, Kerry, Emily, Kelly, Becca and Laura...
Top (left-right)- Kelly, Emily, Becca, Laura, Louisa
Bottom (left-right)- Katie, Me and Kerry
This is my little group of friends and they mean the world to me. Last night we had such a wonderful time, dancing to some tunes and grazing on some nibbles, and of course being a little "cray" as I would say. I had such a great time last night and I wanted to share with you guys something I said to them all on Facebook last night...
I wanted to share this with you because it really did come from the heart last night. Yesterday made me realise how special all of my friends really are to me, and that the best Birthday gift they gave me was such a perfect friendship.
I am go to stop with all of the sappiness now because I'm sure you have all got the point, but I guess all I am trying to say is that this year (my 16th year being on this planet *that makes me sound like an alien*) I am going to try and really appreciate my friends more. I am going to try and create as many memories with them as I physically can because it won't be long before we are all grown up and going our separate ways.
Finally, I had the best Birthday party anybody could wish for, we didn't need drink and hundreds of people there to make it great because we had each other. I sincerely hope that in two weeks time we can repeat it all again at our Christmas party and continue to make memories together in our own personal journeys of life.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Ballistic Review

Hello Everybody,
Yep, I am doing yet another Lush review, and yes I did buy even more Lush goodies whilst out shopping yesterday, but we won't go into that right now. Basically, if you read my post last month, you would remember I did a little haul... here, and I bought the Luxury Lush Pud. I thought, what better then kick off the start of December with a nice festive bath ballistic.
Luxury Lush Pud
Obviously, because I have used the bath ballistic now, a lot of the descriptions will be quite bad, and maybe not quite as legit as they should do, but my nasal memory is appalling. Basically, the Luxury Lush Pud looks like a purple Christmas pudding with little multicoloured polka dots (that do have a tendency to fall out) and pretend white icing, with some holly on top.
What surprised me about the bath ballistic was the fact that it turned the colour of the bath water a purple/red type colour, when I thought it would be more violet. Obviously, this didn't bother me, because the colour was even more beautiful than first anticipated. Also, as much as this will sound incredibly weird to most people out there, I found watching the bath ballistic fizz up so relaxing, especially when it was diffusing all of it's fragrances around the bathroom.
Luxury Lush Pud- Bath fizz shot!
The luxury lush pud is quite sweet, smelling but I cannot quite put my finger on what it is. At first thoughts, it was candy floss, but then again it smelt nothing at all like Snow Fairy and Candy Mountain. I think this is the point when I have to look for the full description on-line... This bath ballistic shares a fragrance with our Twilight bath bomb. With lavender oil, ylang ylang and tonka absolute, you'll be soothed and calmed as little islands of colour float out into your bath water. Okay, so I don't fully agree with the description, but the first bit is spot on. Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing islands of colour float around in my bath, *but, what ever floats your boat, lush (if your pardon the pun)*.
Overall, I was very pleased with this bath bomb but I wish I had bought another one last night.
See you on Saturday,

November Favourites!!

Hello Everybody,
Happy December! Can you actually believe it's December? I can't, December is always my favourite part of the year because of my Birthday and of course Christmas, not to mention the chocolate every morning- except I don't actually have an advent calender, but I have some snowies instead. Before I jump in with all things festive this month, of course I have to celebrate what has been a wonderful November by sharing with you my favourites.
Before then though I thought I could share with you what is coming up this month: Lifestyle I will do posts on my Birthday party, my Birthday, Christmas and of course my 100TH POST!!!! Beauty, I will have a few hauls for your eyeballs to absorb and  possibly some more reviews (I have a lush review coming on Thursday). Finally, I really want to do a few more fashion posts this month, so I may be doing a few OOTDs and maybe even a few festive tips. I hope you are as excited as I am, and although I could probably partake in blogmas I have chosen not to due to exams, but I will keep you all very much updated on what I am up to. Of course, if you want to know even more of what I am getting up to this December, I keep my twitter very much updated.
Back to business I am going to get on with what have been my favourites for the last month...

In November I have had a few products that have been constantly showing up in my daily makeup look and beauty regime. The first of which is my L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint, which if you all remember I did a review on here. I love this foundation because it is so light on my skin, and is fairly matte, which obviously removes any shine from my face. Also, I don't think it seems to be giving my skin a great deal of problems either. My next favourite of this month has been my Bourjois Red Sunrise Colour Boost lip crayon, because darker lips are definitely a cult thing this winter, giving pale faces a little pop of colour. Also, this colour doesn't seem to be too red, so it is perfect for school wear. I have also done a review of this, here.
My fragrance favourite this month has got to be my Victoria Secret, Secret Craving fragrance mist. It is vanilla and blackcurrant flavoured and smells so autumnal, thus I thought it deserves to be it my November favourites. Not only that, but I think it's been my Mum's favourite to, as I have caught on a number of occasions, stealing it from my dressing table *you can't hide mum, I know that smell*. The final beauty product I have been loving this month is actually what I review in my last post, and that is my Vaseline Spray & Go moisturiser, and I am loving because it has been a really quick way of keeping my skin healthy coming up to the winter.

This month I have been loving my mustard snood from Miss Selfridge, it is such a great fashion item, because it goes with so much of my wardrobe. Not only that, but it keeps my neck warm as well, so it is convenient and fashionable.

I haven't really been doing much this month, and even if I did I don't have the pictures for it at the moment, but I have read a book and watched a DVD a few times, so I thought I could do a quick write up about that. Firstly, the book I have read is I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk, it is a romance book, but what makes it the most entertaining for me is all of the little details that are including in it about New York *yes, I really want to go there some day*.
The DVD I have been watching multiple time is Michael McIntyre Showtime, it is such a hilarious film, and quite good to watch as a treat after revision. Also, a couple of my friends, Georgie and Emily, and I seem to often be quoting McIntyre jokes to each other in stressful situations at school. Although, I haven't watched this DVD as much as I wanted to because I'm a Celebrity has been taking over my evenings a little bit. It is such a good show and Ant and Dec are hilarious, although the celebrities are so childish, I mean what is with the whole, "concealer gate" it was so petty.

My final catagory for this month is music because I have had no food favourites during the month of November, but yet again I have two favourites for this month and they are Story of my life by One Direction because it is such an emotional song and the film is a tear jerker *I know, it's very weird that I enjoy having a little cry*. My next music favourite is Can we dance by The Vamps, it is such a feel good song, and they are adorable.
I hope you enjoyed my favourites post, and that you are all looking forward to the rest of December. Don't forget to comment below if you have any special requests for this month.

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser Review

Hello Everybody,
It's another review again, but that is because if you are reading this right now I am actually helping my Dad at a cub camp. I will either be outside in the cold or telling cubs to be quiet right this very moment *oh, the power of scheduling*. Although, I absolutely love it. It's great because when I was a little cub scout I remember looking up to the young leaders, and thinking that they were such fun to be around, and I like to think that they look at me in the same way. So, through the moans and annoyances of the cubs I love it really.
Anyway, back to the review. I was always very excited about the whole concept of Vaseline's Spray & Go moisturiser, but I kept forgetting to go out and buy some. Finally, *almost a month ago* I bought some. Firstly, I should tell you that I got mine in cocoa radiant flavour. This moisturiser smells amazing, and as much as it pains me to say it, it smells even nicer than The Bodyshop's cocoa butter body butter. I would compare the smell to milk chocolate, galaxy to be exact. Of course, it is cocoa so it is sort of meant to smell of chocolate, but it isn't so strong that it gives you a headache, so the scent of this moisturiser is definitely just right for me.
The idea of the Spray & Go design is that you spray the moisturiser on, about 10cm away from you body, and then very quickly rub it in. Of course, because you have already sprayed on the product it doesn't need to be rubbed in that much.
The great thing about this moisturiser is that it moisturises and absorbs in seconds; instantly leaves the skin soft and not sticky or greasy; dispenses evenly with one all over spray. I love using this product on my elbows and other places that get considerable dry in the winter months, apart from the face because it is not designed for that. But, I am also thoroughly looking forward to testing this moisturiser out in the summer because I think that it'll be very cooling and good for the skin after being out in intense sunlight and heat all day.

Lush Review- Catastrophe Cosmetic

Hello Everybody,
At last I have my laptop back after a bit of a blip, although on my twitter you may have heard a few grumbles. Basically, although all of my pictures have been backed up, they haven't been put back onto my my laptop at this point in time. Unfortunately, this means that some of the posts that I have had planned have to be on a bit of a delay. The reason why some of my pictures have not been put back onto my laptop is because of the amount of time they were going to take to put back on, but my Dad has promised me that because he has next week off work, he will get them back onto my computer. This is also great because that means everything will be back in working order ready for my Birthday next week.
I cannot actually believe it, a week on Sunday I will be turning sixteen. Is it just me, or does sixteen sound so much older than fifteen? Of course, my birthday will have no relevance to you guys whatsoever, but this is more of me warning you that I do get very excited. Also, with that being said Christmas is only just around the corner, and I am going shopping for my presents on Wednesday night. Although, I've already bought my Secret Santa present, and I cannot wait for them to see what they have got (I cannot reveal anything because a few of my friends may be reading this). Also, I feel very obliged to wish any American readers a Happy Thanksgiving, and because I do not celebrate it, I was be thinking of you in full envy whilst I am eating my usual dinner, and you are all enjoying Turkey, massive teas and family festivities.
After what I believe has been one of my longest introductions ever *could you tell I've been inside all day and not had any sociable interaction?* I will get on with my review... Today I am going to be reviewing one of Lush's fresh face masks called Catastrophe Cosmetic.
Now, I am going to try and type this up as fast as possible because this face mask is actually meant to be kept in the fridge, but because the fridge is miles *I exaggerate, before anyone starts thinking I live in an old haunted mansion* from my bedroom it is quite rapidly melting on my bedside table.
In fact, so I can quickly run this amazing little product back to the fridge, I am going to tell you what the pot says, 'When disaster looms,Catastrophe Cosmetic calms and cleanses the skin. Blueberries rich in beneficial anti-oxidants, soothing chamomile, Irish moss and the gentle cleansing action of calamine to save the day.'  *Quickly runs to the fridge with a dripping pot of blueberry sludge*. I am going to be honest with you and say that I has never actually used a face mask before I bought this, but I am so glad I have tried one now.
Catastrophe Cosmetic genuinely is a saviour for my skin. All you have to do is leave it on for five to ten minutes and instantly your skin feels smoother and ultimately nicer. Not only that, but I do not break out after using this, and I actually believe it gets rid of my blemishes. My favourite part of the product is the feeling of my face once the mask is removed, my face feels tight, and healthy, but you'll have to try it yourself to fully understand what I mean. Not to mention the smell of Catastrophe Cosmetic, if you are a lover of blueberries and fruity things, you will love this product.
You can buy this Catastrophe Cosmetic at Lush for £5.95 which although this does seem like a lot of money for a face mask, I reckon you could probably get about 5 face mask sessions from it. Also, as I am going shopping next week, I am definitely thinking about picking up another one, although, I'm not sure I'll be picking up Cosmetic Warrior in a hurry, I undoubtedly do not want my face to stink of garlic.

NOTD and a HUGE apology

Hello Everybody,
Basically my laptop is currently sitting on its death bed, with my dad trying his ultimate best to save it *imagine a man in his mid forties giving a laptop CPR*. No, but in all seriousness, hopefully it'll be all reformatted and as good as new by tomorrow so I can keep my school work up and be less bored after school.

I hope you can all understand why this post is going to be hurried and have pictures of poor quality, because let's face it, phone cameras were never designed for us bloggers. My rant about broken laptops and poor quality posts aside I thought I would do a quick and easy NOTD post.
Currently, in Glamour Magazine's December edition, costing £2 they have the full sized nail polishes as their freebee. But, the nail polish isn't any ordinary one, it is a Nails inc one from the Kate Spade collection, normally retailing at £11. Me being me and wanting to snap up a bargain decided to buy two magazines as both colours that in chose really tickled my fancy.
The first colour is Soho silver, which is a beautiful shimmery metallic silver colour, and perfectly on trend this autumn. The next colour (which I am using as an accent colour) is called uptown glamour. This is a gorgeous gold colour and really reminds me of Christmas. Overall, these polishes are of great quality, and really do dry fast, thus perfect for applying in a hurry before a party.
Again I am massively sorry for the bad quality of this post, and hopefully I will get my laptop back as soon as possible, so everything will go back to normal.

L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint review.

Hello Everybody,
Now, I've actually had this L'oreal foundation in my possession for a while now, but me being me took a while to decide what I really thought about it. Obviously, I couldn't do a review on a product that I had only tried once, and I had to have a proper opinion on the product first.
Firstly, can we just take a moment to admire how beautiful the packaging is? The cuboid frosted glass shape makes the bottle look so elegant and classy. Not only that, but it makes that foundation look a whole lot more expensive. The only issue with the packaging is the screw top lid. I know so many people have moaned about the hygiene issues with this style of lid, but personally, that isn't my issue with it. I do not see why it is unhygienic as long as you wash your hands before application. My issue with the screw top lid is that I can now only put the foundation onto my index finger, when I used to put one pump of foundation onto that back of my hand, and believe me, I tried that and made a bit of a mess.
The next thing I want to talk about is coverage, the coverage is quite light, and therfore doesn't hide blemishes, but used with a good concealer it isn't bad at all. Also, the semi-matte finish leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and means that there is no need to put on powder if I'm in a bit of a hurry *yes, I did have to have a shower, hair wash and get ready for a party in twenty minutes today*. Another wonderful thing about the Eau de teint is the lighter than water technology. Evidently this means that the foundation doesn't clog your pores and leaves a no makeup feel. I thought the foundation felt so weird when I was blending it in for the first time, because it felt like it had disappeared on my face although, you could still see the foundation was on there.
All in all, I really like the L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint, and it was definitely justifiable getting it for the introductory price of £6.99, but I'm not overly sure I will repurchase it again for £9.99, and I may go back to my trusty Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation, or try something else.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Thursday, 21 November 2013

Hello Everybody,
The other day I decided that I wanted to try something new and exciting for my blog next year, and I know I am planning some exciting things *exciting for me* for my blog. Basically, I was searching twitter late at night the other day when I came across the #2014bloggerchallenge. The whole concept of this challenge thoroughly thrilled me, and I thought to myself, why not get involved Emily?
I went to look at the original post of the blogger whose brains are behind this formidable idea. Her name is Gaby, and the original post is here if you want to see what it's all about, but I will try and explain it the best I can myself.
The basic idea of the #2014bloggerchallenge is that the bloggers involved will be challenged to write a post, twice a month about a chosen and given subject. The posts will go live every 1st and 3rd week of the month and anybody that signs up will be emailed with the given subject.
I think the thought process behind this fantastic idea is incredible, because it is basically designed to increase blog traffic, help you discover new blogs and potentially make new friends with bloggers you never knew existed.
As you can tell I am so excited about this challenge, and cannot wait for what 2014 has to bring. If you want to get involved and sign up for this challenge send your blog URL, email address and name to Gaby's email in order to get involved. I hope as many of you as possible get involved with this, and are as excited as I am.
Also I would like to add, if there is anything any of you are desperate to see from my blog in the new year, I am open to recommendations because I love to hear what my readers want to see from me.
Finally, don't forget to check out Gaby's blog www.anothergirlyblg.blogspot.co.uk

Just chill!!

Hello Everybody,
Have you every wondered what it's like to relax? How to feel calm? And what life would be like with out the chocka lifestyles we're living now? Me too, it didn't occur to me until quite recently that school, friendships and everything in between was really stressing me out. But, now if you see me you're probably thinking, "How did she suddenly become so much calmer?".
I'm definitely not saying I'm the most chilled out person on the block because believe me, I get butterflies like nobodies business before exams, but I'm certainly better then I was. I honestly think what made me notice that I was the nervous and unchilled type was others around me making me feel the need to snap, or not being able to cope with other peoples problems.
One way I find it easier to be calmer is to breathe. Obviously, we all breathe because otherwise we would be blue and collapsed in a heap on the floor, but when we are stressed our heart rate goes up, and we either find ourselves panting for breath, or even holding it. Sometimes, when we feel that burning fire of uneasiness we just need to take a long deep breath *sigh*. This can suddenly make things so much easier, bring us down to reality, and often in my case remind myself that I'm not the only one going through a busy and sometimes fast paced lifestyle.
Meditation also seems to work for me. I sit on the floor with my legs tucked up and my feet flat on the floor. I take a deep breath in, and as I am breathing out, I will say to myself "I feel at peace". I know this sounds like the weirdest thing ever to do, but some how it leaves me feeling relaxed, calm and focused on doing well, and not even feeling that slightest bit of tension in my body. I do this for a couple of minutes each morning and evening and it is something that I have only recently started doing but I can already notice a difference in my mindset.
The next thing I am going to talk about is listening to music. So many people say that listening to music really chills them out, but to be honest, they can only be correct in some circumstances. Often, especially when we are nervous, our heart rate will try and match the beat of the music. That's why if you are feeling on edge for whatever reason listening to something at 100bpm is probably not going to keep your heart rate down, and therefore not keep yourself calm. You need to listen to music with a beat of 60-80 per minute, because this matches the average resting heart rate, and therefore leaves us feeling more chilled. I often listen to something like, Mirrors by Justin Timberlake, because that is 80bpm and I find it makes me feel prepared yet chilled for a hockey game or something similar.
I am going to be honest with you now and say that sometimes things won't be easy, and I'm not going to lie and say that things haven't got on top of me recently, because it was only a month ago that I made a fool of myself and cried on a hockey pitch. Yes, I did cry because I was stressed and people were having a go at me. But, today I realise that I needed that, to make me realise that I did look like a fool, but also that it is okay to express ourselves sometimes, although maybe not wear our hearts on our sleeves so much.
You should feel like it's okay to talk to people, because it will help. If you've got a problem at school, tell a teacher. If you just want a hug, hug your bestfriend or closest family member, because sure thing everyone have felt overloaded at some point in their lives too. But don't forget, sometimes you have to step back and, "Just chill". At the end of the day stress is just an emotion, but learning how to cope with it is important.
I hope I helped some of you realise today, that stepping back to relax sometimes is just as important as getting things done. Talk to you on Thursday.

Bodyshop Hand Cleanse Gel

Hello Everybody,
I'm doing another Bodyshop review believe it or not. This review I am so excited to do because it is a product that I have repurchased and will again, and again, and again. Also, I cannot even think of a single negative about this product, so this review may become a bit biased and one sided, but honestly, I love this that much.
For some reason the camera wanted to focus on the bag and not the hand gel.
This product is the Bodyshop hand cleanse gel, with has been a staple item in my school bag, and I guess I am a little bit obsessed with it. Lets just say, schools are probably the most dirty and germy places ever, especially now that it is cold and flu season. To me sanitising my hands before eating is important because I hate getting ill, and I'm sure so does everyone else. If you are as observant as me then you will notice that in a day we probably touch a handrail at least four times a day at school, and door handles even more so. Then we share equipment, etc and the amount of people that have also been to these places before us means, that yucky stuff is probably on our hands by lunchtime.
I'm not like a massive germophobe, I'm just hygienic, I guess.
Also, in the toilets, I don't know whether it is just my school but there is so many people standing at the sink fixing their hair, and reapplying their makeup (FYI girls, you are beautiful enough, you don't need to put on any more). For this reason, people that have actually gone to the toilet can't get to the sinks for their true use, and therefore it's a lot less hassle getting my hand gel out of my bag. Also, the hand dryers at school let out less air than me after I've ran five miles.
The Bodyshop hand cleanse gel is in the coconut flavour, and I literally get so many comments about it. Or if someone walks into the loo after I've used it people often say, "It smells nice in here." And I'm pretty sure that's because of my hand sanitiser. I also recommend the pink grapefruit one. They retail at £2 .50, and I know that is a little more expensive than an ordinary hand gel, but for a nice smell rather than an alcoholic smell, it is definitely worth it.

Mittens on strings and matching scarves

Hello Everybody,
It's been quite a long time since I have done a fashion post, and I am hoping to do some more outfit of the days in the near future, but for today I am going to be doing a post about mittens on string and matching scarves. I really love mittens and scarfs but I've been hanging it out for as long as possible before I wore any because I wanted to feel the benefit when it actually got cold. Actually, that's a lie, I wear scarves all year round, but my mittens have only just made it out of my wardrobe this year, as where I live it's starting to become a little bit frosty.
Mittens always look super cute anyway, and they keep your hands super warm. Apart from the inconveniences of only having a usable thumb, with the rest of your fingers restricted, mittens to me always look a little bit more fashionable. I like to look quite girlie, so fairisle patterned mittens are definitely more me then a pair of plain black gloves, but I will give it to you, magic gloves are pretty clever.
Last year, or maybe the year before I bought some blue and off white fairisle mittens on string, on a whim. In fact, I thought the string would be really annoying and look totally childish. The string actually makes the mittens look awfully cute when they are dangling out of your coat. Also, if you need to take them off to text somebody you don't need to hold then in your mouth (don't pretend you don't do it) because the string means that they don't need holding.
With my mittens I have a matching scarf with cute little tassles on the end. Together the mittens and scarf look super duper festive and really finish off an outdoorsy outfit. Not only that, but they make me feel slightly nostalgic, reminding me of my toddler years, and my dad tugging me around on the sledge and pushing me down the hill, just because mittens on strings and matching scarves are something nearly all of us had when we were three, and making snowmen in my garden (I'm not saying that I don't do that now).
What do you think of mittens on strings and matching scarves?

Late night post and a rant about trees...

Hello Everybody,
If you follow me on twitter you would have seen me apologise and say that I am doing my blog post tomorrow as I am far to busy tonight, but I felt so bad that I have decided to do a late night rant instead whilst sitting here with my smelly hockey gear on. As you may or may not know I am currently in year 11 which is my final GCSE year and my mocks are coming up really soon. With that in mind I kind of forgot to write a post tonight, but I love blogging so much, and it gives my brain a break, so I will continue posting Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's, and will try my best not to forget.
Today I had a bit of catering work to do, which seems to be absolutely taking over my life right now, and I'm pretty sure my deadlines on Monday (shoot me now) so that has occupied a lot of my time. Also tonight I had to finish off a French essay, yes, in French, and do a bit of geography research. Although, I also seemed to take a lot of time planning my Nan's 70th birthday cake, which I really can't wait to make and definitely will do a post on once completed.
Sorry about the glare on the picture, is was taken through a window.
Anyway, a rather strange and philosophical thought has been whizzing around my mind today, and it is about trees. They're such beautiful and unique things, not one tree is the same, every leaf is in a different place and they all have slightly different colours. Trees are sort of like humans, it's their differences that make them beautiful, and their imperfections that make them more interesting and captivating.
Trees bring enjoyment to lives, from providing us with clean air, to giving a little bird a home. But, it's the lonely trees that interest me the most. I'm not crazy, because I know trees don't have feelings but when a tree is on it's own it reminds me that some people are like that also. Yet some how something about the lonely tree seems more emotional than a tree in a forest, they have that pull that makes you want to go and sit under it, just for a moment because it's so peaceful. Why don't we feel this way for lonely humans? Why don't we approach the lonely girl sitting in the school canteen? It's just a food for thought, don't be afraid to approach someone on their own in the lunch hall, the worst they can do is tell you to go away. The likelihood is though, that the lonely person is the most caring and wonderful person you will ever meet, maybe shy, but there is probably a reason. You wouldn't ignore the lonely tree (or at least I wouldn't) so don't ignore the lonely person.
Another thing is that hopefully one day I will teach myself to paint trees because they have the most wonderful stories behind them, and are the most captivating things that I can thinks of. I could talk for hours about trees, but I'm not because that will probably bore you all to death, I know my friends already think I've lost the plot (sorry guys, if you are reading this).

Lush- Popcorn Lip Scrub review

Hello Everybody,
I guess a lot of you have already read a lot of the Popcorn Lip Scrub reviews but the other day I bought one for myself to see what all of the hype was about, and all I can see is WOW! I really love this little lush product and it certainly does its job.
I think I will start off with the negative first and that is the price, it is £5.25, which I suppose is quite a lot for a bit of fancy flavoured sugar in a pot. Other than that though the price doesn't bother me too much because the pot is pretty big and I can imagine it lasting me a while. If money grew on trees I would definitely go out and buy the Santa one, which is cola flavoured, but over £10 on lip scrubs is a bit excessive.
The reason why I got this one instead of the Bubblegum one is obviously because it was Popcorn flavoured and I love popcorn, as some of you may as well know. The great thing about this flavour is that it really does taste like popcorn.
The way the Popcorn lip scrub works is that you have to scrub and buff it onto your lips and then when you are fully satisfied you just lick it off and apply your favourite lip balm afterwards. This leaves your lips feeling smooth and silky and gets rid of all of that rubbish dead chapped stuff that comes to haunt us in these chillier months. Not only that, but it leaves your lips tasting really yummy afterwards.
Overall, I am really loving this product because it has definitely made lips seems so much nicer this cold November. Paired with my Nivea lip butter my lips feel totally smooth and wonderful. I am certainly happy with this product and it is worth every penny, especially the fact that it is quite a large pot.

Sweater Weather Tag

Hello Everybody,
I know, I know, this tag is going to be very similar to my I Love Autumn Tag, but I promise you it's not. Now technically I haven't actually been tagged to do this, but I saw it and thought it was pretty cool. I am tagging everyone that reads this, so if you what to get involved don't be afraid to stick your links in my comments.
1. Favourite candle scent?
My favourite Candle scent is the Christmas Cupcake Yankee candle. I know that it isn't actually Christmas yet, but the smell makes me think of warm bakeries. Also, this candle smells quite autumnal, so it isn't too festive yet.
2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
I am a big fan of mocha, especially Starbucks Salted Caramel mocha, but to be fair I am going to answer this question straight. I prefer hot chocolate, and my favourite has to be my Milka hot chocolate. The other day I put a teaspoon of peppermint essence in my hot chocolate to make it taste a bit more festive, it tasted amazing.
3. What's the best fall memory you have?
Firstly, I call it Autumn and not fall, but hey ho! Anyway, I don't really have any specific autumn memories, but I guess having friends round and watching the fireworks we did from my bedroom window. I never went outside because I found them quite scary, but I vividly remember being totally cosy and watching the colourful explosions. Also, I always remember eating yummy hot dogs whilst watching the fireworks too.
4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
I prefer dark lipstick, but I think that colour just be because I'm not very good at applying eyeliner, because I have a really twitchy eyelid.
5. Best fragrance for fall?
My favourite fragrance for autumn has got to be Victoria Secret's vanilla and blackcurrant body spray. Obviously it has a nice warming wintery scent to it, but the blackcurrant keeps it feeling quite warm and yummy.
6. Favourite Thanksgiving food?
Urmm... Considering I live in England I don't actually celebrate thanksgiving, but the thought of it makes me fancy some Red Velvet Cupcakes.
7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
The autumn weather where I live is fairly cold, always cloudy, often raining and leaves are blanketed absolutely everywhere.
8. Most worn sweater?
My most worn sweater is a cream one with pastel coloured speckles in it from H&M, I literally live in it!
9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
I don't really have one yet, but I am dying to buy a nice burgundy colour soon, because that seems to be very on trend at the moment.
10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
Ew, football games! I suppose I'd have to choose jumping in leaf piles.
11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Skinny jean because leggings either go see through, and you have to be careful the you can't see your knickers through the leggings. The only time I wear leggings is if I am wearing something that is covering my bum.
12. Combat boots or Uggs?
Combat boots, because I find Uggs to weird, especially as they are designed to be worn without socks, could you imagine the pong after wearing furry boots without socks all day?
13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
Probably not, because I have never heard of it. Is it an American thing?
14. Favourite fall TV show?
I don't watch tonnes of TV, but 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' is on soon and I reckon that will become a favourite. At the moment I'm not loving anything since Great British Bake Off finished.
15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
Definitely Chocolate by The 1975, listen to it here.

Always look on the bright side of life (8)

Hello Everybody,
Today has been a rather eye opening day for me, so for this reason I am more in the mood to chat to my readers rather than do anything beauty related. I know that my beauty posts seem to get looked at more than my lifestyle posts, but today I am just in the mood to let things spill out of my brain. So many emotions have been felt all in one day, but some how I seem to be enjoying it. I've felt scared, anxious, apprehensive, empathetic, proud, excited, confused and last but not least, happy.
There are so many things in life that we can be miserable about, whether it be friends being unhappy, exams or even just that teenage mood swing. Although, today I have also realised that there are so many good things to be happy about.
The main thing that has made me smile today is you guys. As I went onto my  blog just a moment ago thinking that not much would have happened on it today, considering I hadn't uploaded a new post yet, I realised so many people had looked at it. To be honest, the amount of followers I get and the amount of pageviews I get never bothers me because I enjoy blogging no matter how many people look at it. But, when I see that people are looking at my blog and supporting it of course it makes me smile. I'm still a small blog,  but even that small amount of support excites me. Looking back on it, when I started my blog in May I'd never even thought that I'd be posting three times a week, having so many pageviews and even having at least one follower.
I also think what has made me smile today is knowing that I was able to help out a friend. When I see my friend unhappy I can't leave them without a word, I took the time to go to her house, talk it through and at the end make her smile again. Not only that, but the sweet texts you can get from them after can really turn your day around.
Obviously, this is less than half of what happened today, but I felt like it would be boring to share the rest. Although, the point of this post was for me to tell you guys that no matter how awful a day is, there is bound to be part of it that was great. So remember, always look on the bright side of life, no matter how bad your day was.

Lush, Boots, Bodyshop and Miss Selfridge Haul

Hello Everybody,
The other day me and a couple of my bestfriends (Emily and Katie) went shopping, as I mentioned on Thursday's post. Clearly, I thought it would be unfair telling you that without showing you what I bought, so here is a little haul for you. I didn't manage to get a jumper that I had loved the look of, but all in all I think I had a pretty successful shopping trip and had a really good day.
The places I bought things from were, Miss Selfridge, Boots, Bodyshop and Lush. Of course, I also had a good old McDonalds whilst there too, but I'm sure you really aren't that bothered about the junk food that landed in my stomach on my day out.
The first place I went was Boots and I bought Vaseline Spray&Go moisturizer in cocoa butter, because I want to see what all the hype is about. I also bought another Maybelline New York Colour Tattoo in the colour Metallic Pomegranate because I thought it was a pretty autumnal colour for the crease. Also, I thought I could add to the haul something I bought a few weeks before which is L'oréal Paris Nude Magique Eau De Teint, which I've heard mixed reviews about, but I couldn't miss the introductory offer, and so far I really like it.
Next I went to Bodyshop to get a new Hand Cleanse Gel because the Pink Grapefruit one I take to school needs replacing. This time I decided to go for cocnut, I could've got a cheaper ordinary hand sanitizer but I am willing to pay £2.50 for a hand sanitizer that doesn't smell of alcohol.
After that I went to Miss Selfridge and bought a mustard cable knit snood. I bought this because it looks warm and I think the colour goes with a lot of item in my wardrobe.
Finally I went into Lush and bought a few bits as I haven't treated myself to anything from there in ages. First of all I got the Catastophe Cosmetic face mask, because it's meant to be really good for blemishes, as my chin is causing me a little bit of trouble lately. I then bought the Popcorn lip scrub, and it is literally amazing. The idea is that you buff your lips with the scrub and then lick off the excess, and apply a lip balm. What sold this product to me was that it tastes of popcorn, and I love popcorn. The last thing I bought from Lush was the Luxury Lush Pud, which is super cure because it looks like a Christmas Pudding, and according to the shop assisstant it looks really pretty in the bath. Also, the Luxury Lush Pud, smells really sweet but also has a nice hint of lavender in it.
