Bank holiday- OOTD

Heeellooo (in a Marcus Butler voice),
Today I thought I'd do a short but sweet blog post on what I wore on Monday when I went to my wonderful cousins house, and spent most of the day trying to fish Taylor's (my eldest cousins) stuck phone out from behind the raditator- yep, we lead a normal and exciting life.
So, some of you may know already, that on bank holiday Monday there was absolutely glorious weather in England (which is very unusual) and so I took the plunge and wore a summery outfit.
Top- Select
Shorts- New Look
Socks- Topshop
Watch- Agros (oh yeehhhh)
Bag- H&M
Doc Martens- Schuh
Bracelet- from a nine piece stack from topshop (I think)
So anyway, I hope you liked what I was wearing, I also put my hair in a bun because it felt a little more spring like, and a bit more fresh. If you enjoy OOTD's then comment below.
Happy Thursday

My Pandora bracelet

Hey How Ya doin'... sorry you can't get through, why don't you leave your name and your number, and we'll get back to you (oh sorry went off on a rant there). How ya doin' guys, did you know it's been two whole weeks now? whoopee! Anyway, today's little post is going to be about my Pandora bracelet, and before I start I am in no way bragging, I just like the stories I have behind my charms.

This is my bracelet :)
So the story of me getting my bracelet can be as long as I make it, but I'll try and get as straight to the point as I can. So anyway, in 2010, as a one off family holiday my Mum, Dad, my twin brother Jake and I all went to Orlando Florida for my mums 40th birthday, and boy was it incredible. As one of my mums presents we took a trip to the Florida Mall, so we could get my mum a few presents. One of the big gifts that she had badly wanted for ages was a Pandora bracelet.
When we in the shop and my mum was getting her bracelet fitted my dad turned around and randomly said "Which one would you like Em?", and I was totally confused and baffled and just replied "I don't want one", but dad saw my face light up (which in my language is, yes I would like one, but you don't have to because I don't want to cause any bother). So I chose one anyhow.
I chose the double woven leather bracelet in the colour champagne, and it was £45, I love it! Then, my dad looked at me and said "You can choose one charm to go with it too", so I did...
I chose a suitcase charm, because I decided that it would be most fitting, considering I was on a one off special holiday. To this day, I am so glad that I chose this charm, because it reminds me of the moment I got the bracelet, and of what an amazing holiday that was. Thank you Daddy x

So, the next charm I got was from my brother on my 13th birthday. He was given the whole book of charms and told that he could choose one to order and give to me, and out of them all he chose a frog, which actually made me smile and I love it. This charm is super duper cute, and it shows how well my brother knows me, because even my mum said that she wouldn't think I would like it, but it's cute, so how could you not.
The next one I received, was on Christmas 2010, and it was from my Dad. He told me he got it for me because it has three blue topaz stones in it and they are my birth stone. I thought it was absolutely beautiful, and was blown away by the fact that if you look straight at the stone it looks clear, but if you catch it at certain angles it dazzles and wonderful blue colour.
Finally, the last charm I have received is my cupcake charm, which I got last Christmas. If you know my I am absolutely obsessed with cupcakes, I love the look, taste and smell (I even have a cupcake shaped doorstop). I believe this if in the Pandora Christmas collection, but what I love the most about it is that it is silver, but the cherry on top is gold, so it looks sooo super duper cute and glamorous.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed today's post, and I'll be back on Thursday with another post, and if not it'll be before because I love you guys so much. Toodles.

PS: Have you guys noticed the over use of the expression super duper?
PPS: I bet you're all checking now?

Hi everybody,
So I know the title of this post may seem a little weird, but I thought my thoughts on positivity have to be addressed. In my school year (year 10) positivity seems to be on the go slow and everybody seems so negative about themselves. I understand that life can be stressful and full of worries, but we need to stop putting so much pressure on ourselves.
I suppose the real reason for me doing something serious like this on my blog is because I am a pretty negative person myself, but lately I've been trying new things and ways to make me feel happier about things. I have recently realised the my real stresses were because of exams, controlled assessments and generally just everything happening all at once. I think looking at quotes seemed to have helped me out a lot, and they make me realise that these exams won't last for ever, but the results I get from them will, so the feeling of nerves need to be pushed aside.
My biggest fall down is believing in myself, but everyone struggles in this area; some of you may remember me saying I had a practical catering exam last week, and I definiately thought it was going to go shockingly, I kept imagining dropping all of my scones, burning my cupcakes, messing up my pastry, making my biscuit mixture go sloppy and smashing my brand new sixteen piece tea set, but I'm actually pleased to say that none of that happened, and I ended up getting a fantastic grade.
This is the quote the saw me through it all...

This is such a inspirational quote, and I've been living by it for months now, all it is saying is that if you dream of being a sports star, you can be a sports star, if you dream of being the next Lord Sugar, you can be the next Lord Sugar and if you can dream of being a international rapper, you can be an international rapper, all you have to do is try your best. You just need to get yourself known, be yourself and don't sit around like a couch potato waiting for you dreams to come true (it will happen someday, if you try).
Positivity is all about self belief, it's just not worth sitting there not doing anything because you don't think you can do something, all you can do is try your best. If you are finding something hard, then talk to somebody, because of course they will try to help you.
And if it's somethings like exams making you feel gloomy, then just remember:
  • Breathe
  • Relax
  • Do your best
  • Believe in yourself
  • And don't compare yourself to others, everybodies grades are going to be different because we are all different. You can't be perfect at everything, and those imperfections are what make you, you. Focus on what you are good at, and try your best on everything else. Don't worry about what everyone else got for that silly little Shakespeare Engish assessment, because they are not you, and what you got is none of their business, because you probably want something completely different from life then they do.
I hope this post helps you even just a tiny bit, and remember we are all amazing, and can shine in what ever we dream of.

PS: I've been wondering all week, if you were to draw a sun would you colour it in yellow or orange? I was  only wondering this because my twin brother and I seem to be the only ones that would colour it in orange out of all of my friends and family.
Anyway, au revoir!

Daddy or chips?

Okay, so I know this is a bit of a random post, and it's a Monday, and I usually post on Sundays and Thursdays, but since I've got home after school this evening this came to mind. I know it's a bit of an odd title, but all it is, is that it's a would you rather game. So, without further ado, here it is...
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I think I'd rather lose all of my palettes and eyeshadows, only because I don't really own any expensive palettes, and if it's just a casual day out I quite often don't even wear eyeshadow. Also, I couldn't live without a little bit of mascara and lipstick.
2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I'd rather chop all of my hair off, because at least then it will grow back and whilst I have no hair I could just wear a wig or extensions, and I couldn't live with unhealthy split-ended hair!
3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I'd rather have a coral cheek because I'm quite pale so pink cheeks make me look a little dolly like.
4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Well if I had $1000 to spend it wouldn't be much use to me, but if I had £1000 I would buy clothes because I can live with only a small amount of makeup but I like to keep up with the latest trends when it comes to clothes.
5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eww... Both of these don't really appeal to me because they probably wouldn't feel that nice, but I suppose I would rather wear eyeliner as lipstick because it would just look like black lipstick but lipstick as eyeshadow would feel horrible and wouldn't look very attractive either.
6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Um... Well in the UK we don't actually have Sephora but I have been to one in France, and I have been to MAC but I actually think I would rather only shop at Sephora because it has a mixture of brands, some high end and some cheaper.
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I would rather only use one eyeshadow colours because I feel more people look at my lips than my eye lids because my massive glasses cover that part of my eye really.
8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
I would rather wear winter clothes in the summer because I love knitted jumpers and I feel the cold even at this time of the year, so I don't think I'd be able to cope with shorts and crop tops in the winter, and at least then I'd be able to wear my favourite rara skirt with tights.
9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I'd rather have bright nails all year round because bright colours make me happy, and because I'm super pale, so dark nails make me look a tad ill.
10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I'd rather give up my favourite eye product because I adore my lipstick, but I'm sure I can find something better than my current favourite eye product. As well as that, I don't have massive favourites yet because I'm still only new to the world of makeup and beauty, so I don't have anything amzing yet.
11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I'd rather wear my hair in a messy bun because although it's still quick to do, it looks like you've put more effort into it than a plain old boring pony tail.
12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Am I still allowed to use lipstick and lip balm?.. because if that is the case the I'd never wear lipgloss again because I think plain nails look boring and makes your hands look pretty dull.
13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Oh dear :/ I don't like the sound of either, but I suppose if I could find a light brown coloured sharpie then I'd much rather sharpie my eyebrows than not have any eyebrows and look like a total alien (no offence to anyone who doesn't have eyebrows).
14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I'd rather live without nail polish because my skin isn't perfect so my makeup hides my imperfections.
Now for ones I  have added into this game, because the ones above are from a Youtube beauty tag!
15.) Would you rather always take a cold shower or sleep an hour less than you need to be fully rested?
I'd rather sleep an hour less than I need because I can cope with waking up early but because as I said before I feel the cold really easily my shower temperature has to be just right otherwise I think I'd go insane.
16.) Would you rather be able to hear any conversation or take back anything you say?
I think I'd like to hear any conversation actually, I would rather take back things I say because I can get myself into deep holes pretty often, but I can't help it I'm just like that, also being able to hear any conversation would be pretty bad because there would be so many more arguments because I'd be able to  hear what backstabbers have to say about me, and I think that would make me pretty emotional, and drop my self-confidence when I don't have a lot of that already.
17.) Would you rather go to an amusement park or to a family reunion?
I'd rather go to a family reunion because they don't happen everyday and I love my family and I've been to amusement parks so many times before, unless it was Disney World Florida, then I'd like to change my mind because who doesn't love a bit of Mickey Mouse?
18.) Would you rather go without television or junk food for the rest of your life?
I'd rather go without television for the rest of my life because Youtube can just replace that and the occasional  snack of popcorn and cupcakes are irreplaceable.
19.) Would you rather have x-ray vision or bionic hearing?
Hmmm... This one is actually quite hard, because I don't even know what it's like to have normal vision because of my bad astigmatism (which basically means that my eyeballs are rugby ball shaped rather than golf ball shaped which affects my eyesight). But actually, I don't mind having bad eyesight, so I think I'd go for bionic hearing because I love being nosey and listening to other peoples secrets.
20.) Finally, the question we have all been waiting for, Daddy or chips?
At this moment in time I'm going for Daddy because I love my Daddy and he's inspired me to do a lot of things, but if you ask me that question in a couple of hours time when I'm hungry then I'd most probably choose chips!
So, I hope you enjoyed my extra post today, and if you want to see more like this then just comment requests and suggestions below. Also, if you want to join in with the game either do it in the comments, or post it yourself and put your blog link in the comments. Also, if you are enjoying my posts then follow my blog to see more :)

What's in my shower?!

Hello everyone, so today I've decided to do a quick post on what is in my shower, so here is a little picture showing you all of the products I have in our bath/shower.

So first of all there are my two babies at the front, which are the amazing bodyshop shower gels. I love the bodyshop shower gels purely because they make me smell so delicious when I get out of the shower. I have these shower gels in the flavours pink grapefruit and mango and they both smell extraordinary. Also, even though the bottles are tiny they seem to last forever because when I put them on my shower scrub thing, they lather up beautifully and you only need about a 10p sized drop a wash. You can buy them from the bodyshop and £4.00 each.
The next item is my Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine shampoo, I love this shampoo because it really does clean my hair, doesn't give me an itchy scalp (because a lot of products do give me an itchy scalp) and it also leaves my hair shiny. You can buy it from Sainsbury's at £1.89 reduced from £3.79.
My conditioner is also by Herbal Essences and it is their Moisture Balancing Conditioner for Normal hair. This conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny and healthy, and I really can't get enough of herbal Essences hair products. You can buy this from Sainsbury's at £1.89 reduced from £3.79, also. Not only that but I would also love to try tousle me conditioner when my hair gets longer, to help get tousled hair in the summer.
Finally, the last product I have included in this little post is the Radox Muscle Therapy Bubble Bath: this product isn't really mine, but I thought I'd include it because it really is great. Not only does this bubble bath smell great but it also really does what it says it does. I decided after my Duke of Edinburgh practice hike to give it a whirl, and my muscles certainly did feel much more relaxed and not as tight after a nice chill in the bath. You can buy this from ASDA  for £1.90, and it is definiately worth it.
Anyway, thanks for reading todays post, and don't forget I have a new one up every Thursday and Sunday.

Maybelline New York Colour tattoo 24 hour

Hi everyone, today has been such a busy day, after doing my practical catering exam and all, but I have commited myself to posting every Thursday and Sunday so I said to myself that I would do this post anyway.
So this post is about the Maybelline New York Colour tattoo 24 hour, which if I'm honest I actually only own 2 colours, but I absolutely adore them, and will definiately purchase some more colours in the near future. Basically, these eye shadows are gel-cream eyeshadows and they are meant to last on your eyes for 24 hours- which is something that I can't say for definate works because I never wear my eye makeup for that long. I have also heard many other beauty bloggers mention that they are like the drugstore duplicate of MAC paintpots, which to be truthful I have no idea about because I've never owed any high end makeup before.
So these are the two colours I own...
65-Pink gold (left) and 05-eternal gold

These two colours were actually bought for an end of season hockey do that I went to, where I was wearing a nude dress, they have a lovely shimmer, are quite well pigmented, have a lovely smooth finish and stay on for hours (I didn't even have to reapply after a whole day at school in a hot and stuffy kitchen today). You can wear these two colours for a formal event or just for a casual day out, as they are so quick and super easy to apply. You can wear the two colours seperate but I usually wear both at the same time, I put eternal gold on my brow bone and around my inner corner and then put pink gold on my top eye lid.
(left) pink gold and (right) eternal gold.

As you can see these are quite pale colours, but the line does have many more brighter, more pigmented colours, I just find these about right for school, because it's school at the end of the day not a fashion parade (sorry for the cliché). These colours are also quite shimmery, which personally I love about them because it makes them just that little bit more girly. They retail in Boots costing £4.99 each, but they are currently doing an offer on all maybelline products, where you buy one and get the second half price :)
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed todays blog post, and I'll be back with another one this Sunday. As mentioned on my last post, blog requests are highly appreciated so please leave your comments.

Favourite Skincare Products

Hello Beautys, today I thought to myself why not share and review with you my current favourite skincare products, so without further ado, here it is...

Soap and glory hand food. Clearasil Ultra rapid action treatment cream. Clearasil daiy clear skin perfecting wash. Nivea pure & Natural smoothing day cream. Bodyshop passionfruit body butter.
So this here is the Soap&Glory Hand Food, which if I'm honest I didn't actually buy myself. My Nan bought me a Soap&Glory giftset for Christmas, and this is certainly the best product that I own by them, and I am pretty sure I'll be repurchasing it when I run out. The one that I own is actually the small sample size version, but even this size seems to be lasting me a while, and it is also the perfect size for putting into your beach bag, or even handbag. The particular one that I own retails at £2.50 from Boots and it contains 50ml of the moisteriser, but you can also buy the 125ml bottle for £5.00 or even the 250ml one that come in a big bottle with a pump for £7.00.
The Soap&Glory Hand Food is definitely worth the money, it is super-dooper moisterising and can keep my hands soft all day if applied in the morning. As well as that, the Soap&Glory Hand Food also smells absolutely delicious, it contains, shea butter, macadamia oil and even marshmallow (which is why I think it smells so yummy). I highly recommend this product because it really is the most hydrating hand cream I have ever tried.
Next is the Clearasil ultra rapid action cream, and although I do not actually use this product very often, it certainly does what it says it does. This product is meant to visibly reduce spot size and redness in just 4 hours; so if you apply this morning and night on an annoying pimple then you will notice a visible difference. I thought I would add though, do not try and squeeze your spot because it will only get worse, and this product does not work on scabbed up spots. I bought this from Sainsbury's for £6.00 (but it is on offer for 2 for £7.00 at the moment), which I must admit isn't cheap for what it is, but it does last a long time, and it really does work.
The next product is also by clearasil and it is called the Clearasil Daily Clear Skin Perfecting Wash, and I've got to be honest as a teenage girl who does break out often this works a treat. It cleanses and gently exfoliates your skin and it does have a little bit of moisteriser in it, although I wouldn't just use this to keep my facial skin hydrated because it isn't all that good at that. Other than that though, I recently took a short break from using it and I really did notice a difference, and after even a couple of days my face was starting to sprout spots here, there and everywhere, and now I'm using it again there really is a noticable difference. This product isn't for people who have acne or blackheads though, but clearasil do have products for skin types like that also and this product is to keep your skin clear if you get the odd spot or two. This product retails at £4.00 150ml, and I highly recccomend it to people with a skin type that breaks out every so often.
The next product is Nivea pure & Natural smoothing day cream. My mum actually gave me this after realising it isn't the moisteriser that she usually uses, but she also uses Nivea moisterisers, and has been for years. It is a perfect moisteriser for people with dry skin, and although it is called smoothing day cream, I actually use it at night and it works a treat. I believe my mum bought this from Superdrug at £9.99, but I'm sure you can find it in other drugstores and supermarkets, etc. and although it is quite expensive you only need a little a day and it also does the job.
Finally, the last product is the Bodyshop Passionfruit Body Butter. Yes, the body butter is a bit of an unnessisary purchase, but all of their products smell so delicious and perfect. Bodyshop's body butters also leave your skin feeling so hydrated and refreshed. I also own the Pink Grapefruit flavour, and although I love that scent too, I must admit I have absolutely fallen in love with the smell of passionfruit at the moment, it has a lovely sweet smell, whereas pink grapefruit is a little more sour. It retails at £13.00 at Bodyshop, which is actually really good considering it contains 200ml of the stuff, and it lasts a pretty long time- depending whether you use it everyday or for just special occasions.
Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed my first ever blog, and I look forward to blogging again. Please comment blog requests below, or any questions.
