Easter Get Away- Day Two

Hello Everybody,
I have the second part of my Easter Get Away post here, and if you have seen the first one then clickety click the link here. Now you should know the drill, and that is that I will share with you a plethora *probably not that many* of pictures and then do a quick summary of the day at the bottom.
The Jackdaw, we ate our dinner here in the evening. It was in the film 'A Battle of Britain'

Random photo of a kissing gate *mwah*

"Hey look! A bench!"

A mansion house on the resort we stayed. I cannot remember what it is called but it is pretty.

"I think we're meant to follow the sign!"

"I found the ice-cream!" It was really yummy, and quite photogenic.

In the old Italian Gardens.

Also in the old Italian Gardens.

I wonder why the statue is headless?

My yummy duck meal at The Jackdaw.
So the day consisted of first a nice big fry up made by my dad. It was very yummy. We then went on a family walk after having a quick drink at The Jackdaw. It was a lovely little walk and we even stopped to have an ice-cream. We then had a look around some old Italian gardens which were in fact old, falling apart, and the only plants that weren't dead were some rhubarb.
Afterwards we went to the swimming pool again and went for a little swim, and I went into the sauna for a little while. Then I we went back to The Jackdaw for dinner and it was so yummy. Once we got back to where we were staying we watched a movie and then went to bed.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation Review.

Hello Everybody,
I have a little makeup review for you today which is the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I don't often switch around my foundation and cannot guarantee the greatest review of all time but hopefully it will good enough for you guys.
This foundation for me seems quite heavy coverage, which is perfect for really bad skin days and also for special occasions. It also feels quite nice on the skin, because it matches your own skins texture. It also matches my skin so well which is so good for me considering I am a milk bottle.
One thing I wasn't too sure about this foundation is that it takes quite a lot of blending, otherwise clearly it looks really bad on the face. I'm hoping to wear this to my prom because it has a fairly low SPF, thus it won't look to bad in pictures.

Easter Get away- Day one

Hello Everybody,
I thought it would be nice to share with you what I got up to in the Spring break with my Dad, Mum, Nana and twin brother today, as it was such a lovely trip away and I got some rather nice snaps whilst I was away. So our little trip away started early on Thursday 10th April, when we headed to Herne Bay, a lovely little seaside town.
The pier- did you know that I am actually scared of piers?
This post is going to be picture heavy first and then I will give you a little sum up of the day, because it makes life easier and I think the pictures are more interesting than my babble anyway.
Some sort of sea break rock armour thing that I thought looked cool.

A helter skelter that was on the end of the pier.

The back of the beach sheds because they looked cool and probably aren't looked at regularly

And the front of the beach huts...

A Lifeguard shed, isn't it so cool?

Look... Squirrel!
So... we spent most of the day at the beach, eating ice-cream and candyfloss and then after we had fish and chips. Yep, I consumed a lot of food that day. Afterwards, we went to where we were staying and then went swimming, which is where I spotted a squirrel. How adorable!

NOTD- Essie Limo-scene

Hello Everybody,
After months of hunting, the perfect prom nail polish has been found, and I will continue to lust over it even after prom is over because boy is it a beauty.
Aha! Reading that sentence above makes me giggle, do I ever talk like that? Anyway, how was everyone's extra long Easter weekend? Mine was great, thanks for asking. Today though, rather than reviewing a generic Easter egg *wait, does anybody do that, because if they do I want to see it?* I thought I would give you a prom NOTD. Also, my prom isn't until after my exams which is the 26th June, but this is certainly the colour in which I will be wearing.
Okay, so... before I start reviewing this nifty nail polish I thought I should warn you that if my writing seems slightly delirious or it seems seemly craycray I apologise, but revising for a total of 10 hours in the last couple of days does things to you.
Any who, lets get on with this review... *Ha! That rhymes!* This is my first ever Essie nail polish and I am sure well impressed. It stayed on my nails with zilch chips for six days, and within that time I had washed a car, been swimming twice and many other activites that rarely do not cause some type of devastation to the perfectly princessy painted talons.
Limo-scene is a pink toned white colour, which is fairly translucent at first but with about three coats it is the most beautiful colour, and leaves your hands looking rather elegant and lady like. Which made me feel extra lovely, because my hands are sometimes a little bit unloved, as the avid cook I am.
As you can see from the picture, I finished off the look with some cute little midi-rings. They're from primark if you are wondering, and they were only £1.50 and for that reason if I loose them it will not be so upsetting.

Tanya Burr Lipgloss- Picnic In the Park Review

Hello Everybody,
I hope you are all having a fabulous Easter weekend, because I certainly am. Also, lent ended yesterday, which means I can officially eat crisps *YAY!*. Although, I am going to try and still eat less crisps because I feel a lot healthier without them.
I was so excited when I head Tanya Burr was releasing her own Lips and Nails line so when they launched in Superdrug last week I jumped at the chance of getting one. I got Picnic In The Park because I thought it was the best suited to my colouring.
Picnic In the Park is a coral toned pink which is great for me, because I wear a lot of coral and pink, thus this goes with pretty much everything I wear. Also, although I do like dark lips, I try and avoid them in the summer months.
Tanya Burr's lipglosses have quite a creamy texture, which I quite like because I cannot stand sticky glosses. Also, the applicator in this gloss is so easy to use, so I can precisely apply this lipgloss without getting it all over my face *no I don't normally do that*.
My only moan about this lipgloss is that it makes my lips feel quite dry, but that is probably my own fault for losing my favourite lip balm *but we don't talk about that!*. Otherwise, this lipgloss is an amazeballs product and I will definitely be purchasing more when I actually have some money to spend.
PS: I have declared a spending ban for myself until the end of my exams.

Shopping Haul!!

Hello Everybody,
It's been a while since I've done a haul hasn't it? To be honest, I've actually bought quite a bit of stuff lately, but never enough all at once to do a little haul. But, today I thought different, and as this is the last time I plan to spend any money until summer (mainly because I am now officially skint) I thought I would do a little haul for you now.
I thought that I would pre-warn you that a lot of the stuff that is in my haul was also featured in my OOTD, sorry that order doesn't make sense, I read my blogging diary backwards *oops*.
Anyway, the first place I went to was New Look where I picked up my amazing Round Sunnies, I am doing a guest post about them on Nicole's blog, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Next I went to Primark and picked up a whole basket full of stuff. I got a faded pink basic t-shirt; a pink and baby blue tartan scarf, a blue and purple tie-die bikini, a white overall thingy (what is it actually called people?); three midi rings and two pairs of socks, one pair with macarons on and the other with the Eiffel tower on them.
Afterwards I went into Bank, because I couldn't resist the Juju shoes in the window. Neither could I resist them on the shelf, henceforth I ended up buying a black pair of jellies that have a slight heel  on them. They are so cute and will definitely get loads of wear this spring and summer.
Finally, I went to MAC and in favour of washing the car my mum bought me a lipstick in the shade Creme Cup which seems to be one of the most popular shades and I can now see why. Although, I am saving it for my prom because I want it to be special.

Spring OOTD #2014bloggerchallenge

Hello Everybody,
Today's #2014bloggerchallenge post was to do a Spring outfit of the day, which is so exciting for me because I wanted to do an outfit post anyway, and also I want to see what everybody else has put together for this spring ootd.
Yep that is me casually hanging out of a beach hut, because who said that outfit posts had to be done in front of a majestic trees or rustic brick houses? Nobody!! Anyway, I went to the beach last week and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to take photos of a spring outfit.
Here is what I wore...
 Round Sunglasses- New Look
Bracelet- Pandora
Rose Gold Watch (faux of course ;))- New Look
Midi-rings- Primark
Pink Basic T-shirt- Primark
Pink and Baby Blue Tartan Scarf- Primark
Ripped (pretty much destroyed) Jeans- Boohoo
White converse- Schuh
(I also had some macaron socks on from Primark)
I also had my hair in a French braid starting from the top left hand side of my head going down to the bottom right hand side of my head, which then went into a bun (if you are in anyway interested).
I hope you enjoyed my Spring ootd, and if you are interested in my little trip to the seaside then stay posted until next week when I will be sharing my little adventure with you.

EmBakes Raspberry and Apple Lattice Pie!

Hello Everybody,
I am doing an  EmBakes post today as I know I haven't done one in ages. My recipes was inspired by a Baked and Delicious recipe but I did in fact put my own twist on it when it came to the filling. I think this recipe is perfect for a more chilly spring evening because it has a combination of summery fruits and a nice wintery warm pie, and I suppose spring is just a mixture of winter and summer.

Special Equipment

Lattice cutter, if you don't have one find a pastry lattice tutorial on youtube.
18" round sandwich tin

450g sweet shortcrust pastry
flour, for rolling out.
400g fresh raspberries
400g cooking apples (cubed)
1tbsp lemon juice
125g caster sugar
2tbsp cornflour
beaten, to glaze

Place the sandwich tin onto a baking sheet. Then roll out 3/4 of the pastry onto a floured surface and line the base and sides of the sandwich tin with the rolled out pastry, trimming the edge at the end. Then chill for 30 minutes. Gather up the rest of the pastry trimmings and wrap in cling film and store in a cool place.
Preheat the oven to 190'c and line the pastry with parchment paper and fill with baking beans (or dried pasta or rice if you don't have baking beans) and bake for 10 minutes. Then remove the beans and parchment paper and bake for the remaining 10 minutes. Set the pastry aside and cool for 15 minutes and lower the oven temperature to 180'c.
To make the filling, put the apples and raspberries in a bowl and sprinkle over the lemon juice. Mix together the caster sugar and cornflour and stir into the fruit mixture until they are evenly coated. Spoon the fruit into the pastry case.
Roll out the rest of the pastry onto a floured surface to a round of about 23cm in diameter. Cut with the lattice cutter with the pastry cutter. Dampen the edge of the pastry case and place the lattice over the top of filling squeezing the edges together. Pulling the top slightly to open the lattice out. Then brush the egg glaze over the top and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Serve warm with double cream.

End of Season LBD

Hello Everybody,
I have a very long overdue outfit of the day (or night in this case) for you guys today. I am so sorry fir my lack of outfit posts lately, but as you know, I live in school uniform most of the time, thus wearing pretty outfits is a rarity for me.
So this is the outfit I wore to my hockey end of season do. I had a lovely evening, and although no one came to dance my family had a lovely boogie alone on the dance floor. Also, I won the ladies young player of the year award, which was really lovely, and I was super happy about it. Also, it has given me even more drive to improve next season, which I wish would hurry up already *ha! You've got to wait until September*.
But anyway, this is what I wore:
Black lace strapless skater dress- Boohoo
Rose gold watch- New Look
Low black boot heels- New Look
Leather double wrap charm bracelet- Pandora
Black envelope clutch bag- New Look
Heart necklace- Accessorize
Red nail varnish- Rimmel Wear Maxx 325 Hot Gossip

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post, and I might do a face of the night post in a few days time, but we'll see.

L'Oreal Matte&Messy Shine Free Salt Spray Review

Hello Everybody,
Sorry about how belated today's post is, I've been having a bit of a lazy day, getting myself all pampered and ready for my End of Season Hockey Do tonight. Hopefully, because it is the Easter holidays I can fit in some more exciting posts for you guys, so we'll see how that pans out. But, today I thought I would review my favourite hair product of the moment.
L'Oreal's Matte&Messy is an amazing shine-free salt spray, which has been absolutely perfect at texturising my hair and giving more of a beachy and tousled look. Which also makes this product perfect for spring and summer, because I want more life in my hair this time of the year.
Not only that, but this salt spray is not greasy at all, neither is it hardening. If you are using wax in your hair at the moment then please stop and use some of this instead, because if you are a wax user then you will know what I mean when I say it gives your hair a "dreaded shine". Also, unlike hairspray the salt spray doesn't leave a hard and crusty after effect either, leaving your waves looking natural and wonderful.
I am thoroughly loving this product and would highly recommend it to anybody and for the measly price of £3.50 it is definitely worth the buy.

My Weekend in Pictures #2014bloggerchallenge

Hello Everybody,
Todays #2014bloggerchallenge was to take some pictures of a day/weekend/week, thus I decided to do a weekend picture diary for you, and follow up  each day with a short summary.
On Saturday my day consisted of revision, chilling and food. It was quite warm so I decided to wear a t-shirt tucked into some high-waisted shorts. I then went down town with my mum where I bought her a coffee and bought myself some nerds from Poundland *omnomnomnom*. Afterwards, I did some Science, Business and English literature revision. Once I had finished with my days fill of revision I chilled on my bed listening to music and scrolling through my instagram and twitter for a good couple of hours. After dinner my brother and I sat together in the living room and watching Ant and Dec's Saturday night takeaway whilst enjoying some yummy popcorn. Lastly, I went to my room to chill and catch up on my subscription box on youtube.
On Sunday it was mothers day, so Jake and I made our family a fry up *well, Jake warmed up the beans* for breakfast. Later on, we went into town and we all had a Chocolate Frappé from our local coffee shop. I was going to buy some makeup bits but Superdrug had ran out of all things for people with fair skin!! Once I got home I baked my family an Apple and Raspberry Lattice Pie (EmBakes post will be up next week) and my family and I then got a KFC for dinner.
I had a lovely day and I hope everybody else did too. I especially hope my mum was made to feel special enough on Sunday.

March Favourites

Hello Everybody,
It's that time already and I simply cannot believe it. March has flown past, and I can imagine it's gone so fast simply because I haven't stopped, and with my exams coming up I can imagine it wizzing past even quicker. Anyway, you know the drill by now, because it is a new month I am going to be sharing with you a few of my favourite things from this month. Let's jump straight into it...
*returns after a KFC break, yep, that really did just happen*

Well... There have been a couple of things that I have been loving to use in my beauty routine lately, but the first is actually a hair product. The Matte&Messy salt spray by L'Oreal has really been helping me give my hair more texture, and a bit more of a spring feel to my hair. My next favourite is Soap&Glory's Glow All Out, which has been amazing at giving me a natural glow, which I love now that the sun has finally made an appearance in Britain.

I've had this in my wardrobe for a good year or so now, but I am loving my cable knit cardigan from New Look at the moment. It is nice to get cosy in it when I get home, after spending a good couple of hours revising. Also, it is a very versatile piece in my wardrobe, thus it goes with pretty much anything and everything *to a certain extent anyway!*.

This month has flown by, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my last few games of hockey, and also another quiz night with my friends this month. We did loose, but we didn't care because chocolate was the boobie prize. Plus, we were up against all adults and most of the questions were more orientated around them. Oh, and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway has been making my Saturday evenings a blast!

Inside my head I squealed a little bit when I realised Poundland were selling Wonka Rainbow Nerds. I have got few a few of these delicious boxes of deliciousness now, and they are definitely worth all 100 pennies I spent on them. If you haven't tried Wonka Nerds yet then you need to get off whatever device you are reading this on *Obviously after you have left a comment below and followed my blog at www.bloglovin.com/blog/7897035 *did you like my little plug there?** and get down to your local poundland and buy some!

My favourite music of the month is in fact a mash up of Let it go (Frozen) and Let her go (passenger) by a youtuber by Sam Tsui and if you haven't seen it... have you been living under a rock. Just kidding, but if you haven't then you can find it here. Then you should subscribe to Sam because all of his covers are absolutely incredible!!
