Prom Preparation

Hello Everybody,
You may or may not know that Thursday I have my end of school prom, and I am so excited/nervous/pumped for it. But, there are a lot of things to get done if you are a girl and getting ready for prom. For this reason I thought I would make a prom preparation post, so that if any of you, like me, have your prom coming up (or maybe some other big event) you can be super prepared so that everything will run smoothly on the big day.

1. Keep up the skincare

This is important if you want good skin for prom. Make sure you don't get slack on all of your skincare before prom because you do not want your face resembling the Alps on the big day. Of course, if your skin isn't perfect on prom day you can always conceal the baddies, but just ensure that you don't give up on the cleansing, toning and moisturising. If you are really worried about your skin on the day of prom, perhaps you could use a face mask a couple of days in advance also.
Also, make sure the skin on your body is in good condition. If like me you suffer from eczema, keep on top of it with some hydrocortisone cream, that way you will have less chance of having scaly skin on the day of prom. Also, make sure you moisturise elsewhere too, focusing mostly on dry spots like you elbows and hands.

2. Make sure you have everything

Please don't be the person at prom who realises an hour before your transport is meant to leave that you haven't got a bag to keep you phone and purse in. Make a list of all of the things you need, at least 4 days before prom so you can go out and make some last minute purchases. For me, I bought some last jewellery bits and makeup on Monday (haul to come) ready for next week.

3. Make a plan

Make a plan of things you are going to do to prepare for prom. I made a plan starting from a couple of days before the big day. If you have any appointments (hair/nails/etc) write them on this plan so you aren't late or don't forget to go to them. Write down literally everything you plan to do. From meeting friends, to doing your makeup, making a plan will make the whole event a lot less stressful and will also mean you can organise your time better, because you certainly do not want to be rushing around last minute.

I hope this has helped any of you who are preparing for prom. Don't forget, this is meant to be a memorable night, so don't get stressed and have fun.
Toodles,
